Kilkivan Community Christmas Carnival
The Kilkivan Touch Football Association, Kilkivan Swimming Club, Kilkivan Kindergarten P&C, Kilkivan Stock Horse Society and Kilkivan Show Society will be jointly presenting the Kilkivan Community Christmas Carnival at the Kilkivan Showgrounds from 6:00pm until late tonight. The Carnival will feature children's rides; live musical entertainment; a special visit by Santa Claus; Christmas carols sung by students from Kilkivan State School; a Ham Draw; and a Business House Draw. There'll also be a licensed bar in operation and plenty of food too. The Carnival is being supported by the Kilkivan Auto Centre, Kilkivan Bowls Club, Kilkivan News & Takeaway, Kilkivan Post Office, Kilkivan Fine Art & Antiques, The Left Bank, Kilkivan Meats, Kilkivan Tyre & Rural Supplies, Smart HR Solutions, Gympie Regional Council, Powers Transport and Goomeri's Grand Hotel, and admission is 100% free.
Bush Kids Free Christmas Carnival - Windera
A completely free Bush Kids Christmas Carnival will be held at the Windera school oval from 2:30pm onwards this afternoon. There'll be a free jumping castle, train rides, face painting, games and activities for children, and Santa will be arriving at 4:30pm with gifts, followed by a free BBQ dinner from 5:30pm - all you need to bring is your own chair or blanket. This carnival is being put on by volunteers to bring a bit of Christmas joy to bush children and families hit hard by the drought. You can read more about it on our website.

The QCA will be publishing Year 12 exam results for 2014 (along with OPs and FPs) in student learning accounts on its Student Connect website today.
Wondai Country Markets
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's popular monthly Wondai Country Markets will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon today. Today's markets will feature stallholders selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans available from the Gallery's new "Studio" building just a short stroll across the park. The Wondai Kindergarten's BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts to early bargain hunters. Xmas With Jeff Hancox - Nanango
The South Burnett's very own Elvis (aka Jeff Hancox) will be performing a Christmas Concert at Taras Hall next to the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango from 6:30pm until late tonight. You can order meals from the RSL's bistro and be served in the Hall. There'll also be raffles and a lucky door prize, and a bar and refreshments will be available too. John Vea Vea - Kingaroy

QCWA Young Girls' Craft Group - Kingaroy
The QCWA Young Girls' Craft Group will be holding their regular third Saturday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to the RSL) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. The group is for young girls aged 10 years and older, who can learn useful crafts and home skills such as sewing, knitting, crochet, cooking, healthy eating, catering and presentation under the supervision of QCWA ladies and a supervisor. There's a small $2 charge each day to cover the cost of goods used, but all young girls are very welcome. Inverlaw Hall Annual Get-Together
The Inverlaw Hall committee will be holding its annual Inverlaw Hall Get-Together at Inverlaw Hall on the Burrandowan Road (roughly 20km from Kingaroy) from 6:30pm until late this evening. This fun night is for anyone who's been to the Hall over the course of 2014. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm and everyone is welcome, but if you're coming please bring a plate for a shared meal. Friendship Markets - Kingaroy
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at the Senior Citizens Centre in Avoca Street, Kingaroy from 6:30am to around 12:00pm today. Christmas Dance - Manumbar Hall
A Christmas Dance will be held at Manumbar Hall in Manumbar from 8:00pm until late tonight. Music will be supplied by Mark's Music and there'll be supper and raffles too, along with a special visit from Santa.
