South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Wondai Carols In The Park
The annual Wondai Carols In The Park community carols will be held at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 6:00pm tonight. In addition to performances by the Stolzenberg Brothers, local choirs and a visit by Santa (who'll by arriving in the CROW-FM ute), there'll also be a Wondai Kindy BBQ, soft drinks, tea and coffee available - all you need to bring is a blanket or portable chairs for seating (the Council will also be making 80 seats availble too). Carols In The Park is sponsored by the Wondai Regional Art Gallery, the Wondai Markets, the SBRC and local volunteers and in the event of wet weather, it will be held indoors at the Wondai Diggers Club a few blocks further along Mackenzie Stret. Everyone is welcome and admission is free!
Yarraman Ladies Bowls Club Meeting

Murgon Playgroup
The Murgon Playgroup - which runs every Wednesday morning during school terms - will be operating at Murgon State School at 91 Gore Street, Murgon from 9:00am to 11:00am this morning. All parents, grandparents and /or carers of pre-school children are welcome to join this free weekly playgroup. You should bring morning tea for your child(ren) and can share a cuppa and a chat while supervising and participating in painting, drawing, blocks, playdough, reading, dress ups, outdoor active play etc. More details? South Burnett Peer Support Group Expo - Wondai
The South Burnett Peer Support Group will be holding an Expo at the Wondai Diggers Club in Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 9:00am to 3:00pm today. The group have invited guest speakers from service delivery organisations such as Homes West and Bespoke Lifestyles to discuss the services their companies offer to people who'll benefit from the National Disability Insurance Scheme. NBN Experience Van - Maidenwell & Kingaroy
NBNCo is bringing its NBN Experience Van to the South Burnett today to give residents a hands-on preview of what the National Broadband Network can now offer them. Today the van will be parked near the Maidenwell Trading Post from 9:00am to 11:30am; and then outside the South Burnett Regional Council's offices in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch Meeting
The Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch will be holding their final monthly meeting for 2014 at the Carrollee Hotel in King Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to around 7:30pm this evening. The Twilight Branch is a new branch of the QCWA which is designed for working women and busy mums. It meets in the evenings and is separate from the traditional Kingaroy branch (which meets during the day). The Twilight Branch is open to all women who'd like to take part in QCWA activities and/or find out more about this highly respected community organisation. New members are always very welcome! Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group Meeting
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $4 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. Judo Club Training Night - Murgon
The Murgon Judo Club will be holding its regular Wednesday training night at the Salvation Army Hall in Macalister Street, Murgon from 4:30pm to around 7:00pm this evening. Juniors will run from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, then seniors from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Class fees are $4 for juniors, $6 for seniors, and new members are very welcome! More details? The South Burnett Arthritis & Osteoporosis Support Group will be holding their regular first Wednesday of the month meeting at the Kingaroy Community Centre at 130 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy at 10:00am this morning. The group provides support for arthritis and osteoporosis sufferers and meets every month except January. Today's meeting will be sthe group's AGM and new members are always welcome. More details?
