Barambah Shed Men Meeting - Mt McEuen
The Barambah Shed Men will be holding their 35th meeting at Stan Baker's property at 454 Fairdale Road, Mt McEuen from 4:30pm to around 8:00pm this afternoon and evening. The meeting will get underway with a talk from Stan, who grew up on his parents' farm and is now a farmer himself. But he's also been a vineyard worker, a miner, and is a vintage motor bike and tractor collector (Stan will have his vehicles out from 4:30pm). He'll be followed by Norm Fuller, who was originally a cabinet maker who went on to become a secondary school principal, is now director of SU Qld, and is also a prostate cancer survivor. The cost of the meeting is $15 (which includes a meal, dessert, soft drinks, and tea/coffee) but young blokes under 15 can attend for free. To assist with planning the catering, though, an RSVP by Monday, January 23 would be greatly appreciated. You can make one by phoning Glen on (07) 4168-4134 or by emailing him, or Dave on (07) 4168-5912. PS: To find Stan's property, turn off the Bunya Highway onto the Wondai-Proston Road and drive approximately 12km until you come to a sweeping right bend. Go straight ahead here onto Mt McEuen Road, then turn left after 100m onto Fairdale Road. The shed is 4.54km further along on your right.

There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans available from the Gallery's new "Studio" building just a short stroll across the park. The Wondai Kindergarten's BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts to early bargain hunters. New stallholders are always very welcome (stall fees range from $10 with power and water available, if needed) and you can obtain more details by phoning the Gallery on (07) 4168-5926 or by emailing them
