South Burnett Australia Day Awards - Nanango
The South Burnett Regional Council will be presenting the region's 9th annual Australia Day Awards at a special ceremony at the Nanango State High School Hall in Elk Street, Nanango at 6:30pm this evening. The awards provide the community with an opportunity to acknowledge and reward outstanding groups and individuals committed to improving the lifestyle experience of our region. The award categories that have been chosen give all the region's communities equal opportunity to nominate individuals and/or groups who've made special contributions to the area, and everyone is welcome to attend. Wednesday Ladies Bowls - Yarraman

La Crème Dance Academy Enrolment Day - Nanango
La Crème Dance Academy will be holding their 2017 enrolment day at the main pavilion inside Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street, Nanango from 3:30pm to 6:30pm today. Intending students can enrol for the year, purchase uniforms, see the studio's facilities and meet the staff. Term 1 classes will commence on Monday, February 6. More details? Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Wednesday Morning Bridge - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Bridge Club will be holding their regular Wednesday morning bridge games at the pavilion nearest to town inside the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 9:00am to 1:00pm today. Australia Day Eve At Kingas - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Hotel-Motel at the corner of Youngman and Haly Streets, Kingaroy (opposite MacDonald's) will be holding an Australia Day Party from 5:00pm until late tonight to help kick off tomorrow's Australia Day public holiday. The event will be offering many chances to win free promo gear including bar mats, t-shirts, stubbie coolers, thongs and more, along with a pie eating competition at 6:00pm; a $50 gift voucher for the best Aussie hat; and a free sausage sizzle for everyone. Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet every Wednesday at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $3 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well.
