The Kumbia Race Club will be holding its annual Melbourne Cup race meeting on Tuesday, November 7.
It will be a five-race meeting with the first race scheduled to leave the barriers at 1:00pm.
The fashion theme is “Tickle Me Pink” with the Fashions of the Field also a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation.
The feature race, the Kumbia Cup Open Handicap (1400m), will be run at 3:45pm.
As well as a big Fashions of the Field competition, there’ll also be full TV coverage of the races from Flemington, including the Melbourne Cup at 2:00pm.
On-course bookies will be taking bets on both the local and interstate races.
A bus will be running from Kingaroy’s Carrollee Hotel to help punters enjoy the day without the hassle of driving, but bookings need to be made at the hotel.
Racegoers can also get a 25 per cent discount on the $20 gate entry fee by bookiing their tickets online through Trybooking.com
