South Burnett Regional Council is seeking Expressions Of Interest for three positions

South Burnett Regional Council is seeking expressions of interest to fill three positions on its independent Corporate Risk and Audit Advisory Committee.

The committee meets at least four times per year, usually in February, May, August/September and October, for between two and three hours.

The committee members receive an allowance of $400 per meeting, indexed annually.

The positions will begin in February.

The term of the appointment is for three years, subject to an annual performance review.

Applications close on November 16.

Respondents are expected to have experience in State or Local Government or the Not-for-Profit sector and tertiary qualification/s or relevant experience from a finance, business or related field.

They must also have demonstrated experience and specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Accounting and finance
  • Audit / Systems of Internal Control
  • Legal and Compliance
  • Asset Management
  • Risk Management
  • Corporate Governance
  • Information Communications Technology

They must also have a high level of effective written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience on a committee or board role is desirable but not essential.
