BlazeAid volunteers will be heading to the South Burnett this week to help local farmers clean up after Thursday’s storms.

South Burnett Deputy Mayor Kathy Duff said a BlazeAid Camp would be set up at the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club grounds near Kingaroy Airport.

“We have already had offers of food donations from the Kingaroy Little Butcher and help from the Kingaroy Men’s Shed to co-ordinate meals for the workers,” Cr Duff said.

“The BlazeAid co-ordinator will be arriving on Tuesday to start things rolling. Great work everyone!”

BlazeAid president Kevin Butler said the co-ordinator for this clean-up would be John Lillico.

Farmers needing support and volunteers planning to join in should call or text John on 0484-145-732.
