Kingaroy Police are urging local residents to not let thieves spoil their Christmas cheer.
Police are urging residents to lock their homes and their cars, even when they are home.
Here are a few tips from Kingaroy police to make Christmas safer:
- Lock external doors, even while at home
- Keep security screen doors locked at all times
- Keep valuables, including Christmas presents, out of sight of prying eyes at windows
- Be security conscious and actively protect against opportunistic thieves
- Be aware of your neighbours – look out for each other
- Make it a difficult as possible for an offender to target your home, and
- Don’t leave spare keys in obvious places.
These basic crime prevention tips will help make Christmas a happy and safe time for all.
