Akaysha Energy, the developer of the Halys Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Ellesmere, plans to hold a community drop-in session later this month.
The 400MW / 1600MWh BESS will be built on Oakey Creek Back Road, next to the existing Halys Substation.
The drop-in session will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, March 14, at the Kumbia Memorial Hall.
South Burnett residents have been invited to meet members of the Akaysha Energy team and learn more about the project.
Akaysha Energy has also invited local trades and suppliers to attend a Jobs Fair at the Carrollee Hotel in King Street, Kingaroy, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, March 13.
Representatives from the principal contractor for the Ellesmere project, Consolidated Power Projects (CPP), will provide information about the construction process, on-site requirements and local job opportunities.
