RU OK? Day will be marked on Thursday with a free breakfast at the Kingaroy Town Hall forecourt … South Burnett Mayor Cr Wayne Kratzmann, Nicole Connolly (Stanwell), Jason Frecklington (Gloria Jean’s) and Louise Judge (Centacare South Burnett) are gearing up for the day

September 9, 2012

The annual RU OK Day? is being marked again in the South Burnett on Thursday (September 12) with a free community breakfast in Kingaroy and cups of coffee available across the region.

Residents are being encouraged to stop for a coffee and chat to support the health, safety and well-being of the community.

The day has been organised by the South Burnett Suicide Prevention Working Group as part of a national campaign.

The free community breakfast will be held in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt from 6:00am to 9:00am.

Guest speakers will address a range of topics relating directly and indirectly to the issues of suicide and the help that is available in the region.

If this time doesn’t suit, or you live outside Kingaroy, why not take a break before or after work, grab a coffee and make contact with a loved one or a work colleague who may be struggling?

Selected coffee shops and other venues throughout in the South Burnett will be providing free cups of coffee to support the day.

Random free cups of coffee will be available at participating coffee shops:

  • Blackbutt – Blackbutt Bakery; Bunya Nut Cafe
  • Kingaroy – Gloria Jeans; Kingaroy Coffee Lounge; Kingaroy RSL; Utopia
  • Murgon – Murgon Bakery
  • Nanango – Cooks Bakery; Foodworks; Nanango Country Bakehouse; Nanango RSL
