The Kingaroy Local Ambulance committee have put the recent donation of $1000 from the Thiess staff safety program to good use.

The committee has put the money towards the purchase of a SimPad programmer for the station’s MegaCode Kelly training mannequin.

The $4500 SimPad was available as an upgrade trade-in offer for $2706 from the supplier, Laerdal.

“We are very pleased to be able to put the Thiess donation toward this state-of-the-art training device,” Kingaroy LAC president John Box said.

“The remainder of the funding has come from local fundraising by the Kingaroy LAC.”
