RHealth’s Kingaroy, Chinchilla and Charleville programs have hit crunchtime with funding for their programs running out today.
However while the Chinchilla and Charleville offices are believed to be folding, there could be good news for the Kingaroy program.
While there’s nothing official yet, it’s believed alternative funding is in the process of being sourced to keep the Community Nutritionist position operating in Kingaroy.
Funding for the Healthy Lifestyle officer position will continue at least until June next year.
This follows extensive behind-the-scenes activity by local Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington and the South Burnett Regional Council.
