Speedway Family Fun Night

The South Burnett Speedway Club will be holding a free Family Fun Night at their racetrack - the main oval at Kingaroy Showgrounds - from 6:00pm until late tonight as a curtain-raiser for this year's Kings Royal (which will run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday). The fun will start in the pit area where there’ll be race cars on display as well as live music, food vans, a jumping castle, popcorn, fairy floss and a big screen playing clips from previous speedways. Everyone is welcome!

Youth Theatre Workshop - Nanango

The Nanango Theatre Company will be hosting a free Youth Theatre workshop and afternoon tea for young people aged 12 to 17 at their playhouse at the corner of Elk and George Streets, Nanango from 3:30pm to 5:00pm this afternoon. The NTC hope to run youth theatre classes every week during school term, and the purpose of today's workshop is to allow young people to sample the course and decide if it would suit them. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Murgon every Wednesday and Friday at 12:30pm at the Baptist Church at 94 Macalister Street, and members who can't make it in person can join in the meeting online via Zoom.
