National Day Of Mourning
- The Federal Government has declared January 22, 2026, as a National Day Of Mourning in honour of the victims of the December 14 Bondi Beach massacre. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has invited members of the public to observe one minute of silence at 19:01 AEDT (NB. This is 6:01pm Queensland time). Residents have also been invited to leave a candle on their doorstep or window as a symbol of remembrance, mourning and solidarity with the Jewish community.
Kings Royal Pit Party - Kingaroy
The huge weekend of speedway racing at the Kingaroy Showgrounds will kick off with a free Pit Party from 4:00pm to 9:00pm tonight and everyone's invited! There'll be live music by Amber Goldsmith from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, food and stalls and a big screen in the pits. Enter via the gates at the western end of Avoca Street. NB. There will be no parking available inside the showgrounds.
Spinners & Weavers - Murgon

Graham House Community Connect - Proston
- Graham House's community connect worker and community support worker will be visiting Proston from 9:30am to 12:30pm today to provide information about all the various services that Graham House can provide, including transport, emergency assistance and parenting programs. The workers will be at the Community & Information Centre at 40 Blake Street, Proston. The team visits on the second and fourth Thursday of every month (except public holidays). Line Dancing - Nanango

Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low-income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further.
