Mayor's Community Lunch With Roy Emerson - Blackbutt
- BOOKED OUT! A special Mayor's Community Lunch with special guest Roy Emerson will be held at the Blackbutt Golf Club in Bowman Road, Blackbut from 11:30am to 2:00pm today. Roy Emerson is an internationally famous tennis player who grew up in Blackbutt, and the luncheon is an initiative of the Blackbutt & District Tourism and Heritage Association (BDTHA). Tickets to the luncheon are $27 per head and proceeds will go to aid the BDTHA's projects. Everyone is welcome, and tickets can be booked by phoning Bronwyn on (07) 4189-9155 or by emailing Kristy. Men's Shed - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 12:00 noon and 2:00pm to 4:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The shed is open to all men who'd enjoy the companionship of other men while undertaking woodwork, metalwork or similar projects or who'd just enjoy a chat. More details? Kingaroy Writers Association Meeting
- After a brief break for the festive season, the Kingaroy Writers' Association will be holding their first meeting for 2015 between 9:30am and 12:30pm this morning at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Alford and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy. Members meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month to share their work with other members and take part in writing and word exercises. Membership is $5 per annum and meetings are $2 to cover tea and coffee (bring a plate for a shared morning tea experience). New members are always very welcome! More details? Proston Over 50s Club Meeting
- The Proston Over 50s Club will be holding their regular
third Tuesday of the month meeting and social at the Proston Town Hall in Rodney Street from 10:00am onwards today. The $2 admission fee includes morning tea and there'll be a communal lunch at around noon (bring along a plate to share).

Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association and is for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
