Lucas Oils Kingaroy Speedway
The South Burnett Speedway will be roaring into life at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 3:00pm this afternoon with the first day of the Speedway's bumper two day meeting to welcome in the new year. Racing at tonight's meeting will get underway at 5:00pm and will feature Modified Sedans and Street Stocks. Admission fees are $25 for adults, $15 for pensioners/students or $65 per family, but under-12s can get in for free. You can find out more on the Speedway's website.

The South Burnett's very own "Sultan Of Sax" Tom McKenzie will be welcoming in the New Year with smooth jazz grooves at the Wondai Hotel & Cellar in Haly Street, Wondai from 6:00pm until late tonight.
