South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Skateboarding Workshop - Murgon
A free skateboarding workshop will be held from 9:00am to 3:00pm today at the Murgon Skatepark in Gore Street. The Chiggy's Skateboard class has been organised by the South Burnett Regional Council with funding from the State and Federal governments. Bookings can be made on Council's website
Wondai Crime Meeting
Wondai residents concerned about recent break-ins and vehicle thefts in the town have organised a crime prevention meeting to be held from 2:00pm today at the Wondai Diggers Club in Mackenzie Street. The organisers aim to petition the State Government to increase the police presence in Wondai.
Moore Hall Markets
The monthly Moore Markets will be held in the Moore Soldiers Memorial Hall off the D'Aguilar Highway in Moore from 7:00am to around 12:00 noon today. The markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month and feature crafts, toys, bric-a-brac, clothes and collectibles. Food and drinks will also be available for sale. Everyone is welcome!
Aqua Aerobics - Wondai
Wondai Swimming Pool is hosting free Aqua Aerobics on Saturday mornings from 7:00am until February 8 as part of a South Burnett Regional Council program. Spots can be booked online
Murgon Music Jam
A free music jam for everyone - with talent or not! - will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm today at the Uniting Church Hall, 55 Gore Street, Murgon. The free afternoon for music lovers is held on the third Saturday of every month. More info? Phone Doug on 0466-974-483.
Kingaroy Friendship Markets
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around noon today. The markets feature a range of arts, crafts, food stalls, fruit and garden stalls, plus unusual bric-a-brac. New stallholders are always very welcome.
Wooroolin Line Dancers
The Wooroolin Line Dancers will be holding line dancing classes for beginners and intermediate dancers at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin from 9:00am to 10:00am this morning (for beginners) and 10:00am to 12:30pm (intermediate). Course fees are $10 for intermediate (morning tea included) or $5 for beginners. BYO mug. Everyone is welcome.
Saturday Cricket
The South Burnett Senior 40-Over competition is resuming this week, with all games starting at 12:30pm: Tingoora Mercenaries v Tingoora Vikings at Tingoora Sportsground; Tingoora Huntsmen v Wondai Wolves at Taabinga State School; Kingaroy Services v Wooroolin Warriors at Wondai Cricket Ground; and Nanango Scorpions v Murgon Diggers at Alan Downie Sports Fields, Nanango. Junior cricket will resume on February 1.
Proston Men's Shed

The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be holding their regular Saturday morning meeting at the old Motor Pool building off Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport from 8:00am to around noon today. The group meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday morning and new members and visitors are always welcome.
Byte Night Pool Party - Murgon
The South Burnett PCYC will be holding a free Byte Night Pool Party at Murgon Pool, 101 Gore Street, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm this evening. There'll be fun, games and a BBQ, and all ages are welcome! NB. Children under 14 years must have adult supervision.
Saturday Morning Tennis - Blackbutt

The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.

The starting line is adjacent to the Roy Emerson Museum, off Bowman Road. Runners follow a course along the former railway line and the parkrun group is free to join.
