Proston Community Christmas Carnival
The annual Proston Community Christmas Carnival will be held at the Proston Sportsgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road from 5:00pm to around 9:30pm tonight. This fun-filled event will feature all the usual attractions including food and craft stalls, live music from Lyn Chandler and the PK's, a children's colouring competition, fairy floss, and gifts and games for children, along with a visit from Santa Claus at around 7:30pm. Kingaroy Friendship Markets
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around 12:00pm today. The markets are run by the Kingaroy Show Society and feature a great range of arts, crafts, food stalls, fruit and garden stalls, plus unusual bric-a-brac. New stallholders are always very welcome! - The Proston Men's Shed will be meeting at their workshop buildings at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston for their regular Saturday morning get-together today, kicking off with a cuppa at 8:00am and continuing on until noon. Murgon Men's Shed
- The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on projects and new members are always welcome.
Wondai Parkrun
The Wondai parkrun group will be holding their weekly 5km timed runs at Coronation Park in Wondai at 7:00am this morning. Runners follow a course along the South Burnett Rail Trail and the parkrun group is free to join.
