Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their fourth bi-monthly Sunday social for 2017 at the Blackbutt Golf Club in Langton Road, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Admission is still only $5 with bottomless tea or coffee and and free afternoon tea as well. Lunch will also be available for a small charge. Everyone is welcome!
Blackbutt Country Markets

Mini Mods Carnival - Wondai
The South Burnett's annual Mini Mods rugby league carnival will be held over three ovals at the Wondai Sportsgrounds on the Bunya Highway in Wondai today. This carnival always attracts hundreds of junior players from all over the Wide-Bay Burnett, and matches will start at 8:20am and continue through until the afternoon. The U7s, U8s and U10s are all 15-minute games and will wrap up around 2:00pm, while the U12s are 19-minute games and will wrap up around 4:30pm. The U7s and U8s will play on Oval 3; the U10s on Oval 2; and the U12s on Oval 1. Spectators and supporters are very welcome!
Nanango Home Produce Share
- The monthly Nanango Home Produce Share will be held in the grounds of Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street, Nanango from 9:00am to about 10:30am this morning. The share is for people who have excess home produce they would like to swap or gift to others (non-food items can also be swapped) and it has been organised by the South Burnett Permaculture group. At The Wineries
Three of the South Burnett's wineries will be open for lunch today. At Moffatdale, Moffatdale Ridge will have their cellar door verandah cafe open for light meals and snacks from 10:00am to 4:00pm. And in Kingaroy, Cranes Winery and Kingsley Grove will be open the same hours, serving up wines and platters (at Cranes) and wines, cheese platters and wood-fired pizzas (at Kingsley Grove). Fossicking Day - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club will be meeting outside Woolworths at Kingaroy Shoppingworld at 8:30am this morning, from where they'll travel to a local farming property where the club has been given permission to fossick. New members are very welcome to come along too.
Kumbia Museum
- The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Sunday Poker - Kingaroy
