A long-term plan by the South Burnett Western Performance Club to upgrade its grounds in Nanango has been given the go-ahead by the South Burnett Regional Council.
The public have been invited to come along to watch some equestrian action and inspect the results of an Australia Day working bee at the South Burnett Western Performance Club grounds in Nanango.
Organisers of an equestrian sport that can trace its roots back to Portugal, Spain and Italy were delighted when they held their first competition at Nanango’s Showgrounds recently and saw it draw 53 competitors from all over south-east Queensland.
Forty riders from 11 local schools took part in the 2018 South Burnett Equestrian Challenge held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds last week.
The Nanango Heritage Endurance Ride is always a test for horses and riders … but at least the horses get regular vet checks!

Nanango Pony Club’s Golden Anniversary campdraft and gymkhana at the weekend was a huge success with 125 campdrafters taking part on Saturday, and 163 riders on Sunday.
