The Queensland Fire Department issued a “STAY PREPARED” warning at 6:01pm on Monday for a bushfire burning in the Teelah area.
The fire is burning near Stretton Drive and moving towards Wild Deer Drive.
A “STAY INFORMED” alert (see below) was issued earlier in the day for local residents.
At 3:30pm, nine fire units were working at the blaze with more on the way.
Waterbombers had been called in.
At 6:00pm, there were 14 fire crews in attendance.

A dangerous slow moving fire is burning near Stretton Drive. It is moving towards Wild Deer Drive. Stay prepared as the danger from this fire will continue for days. The fire could get worse quickly.

– Do not fly drones around the fire as they affect firefighting.
