The State Government will hold a consultation session in Kingaroy next month to collect feedback on its draft 25-year plan for primary industries in Queensland.
Consultations are being held with primary producers throughout regional Queensland on the “Primary Industries Prosper 2050” blueprint.
The Kingaroy session will be held from noon to 3:00pm on June 5 at the Kingaroy RSL Club.
Registrations to attend can be made online
The draft blueprint – which is available online – was prepared after a DPI forum in Brisbane on February 26.
Farmers, graziers, fishers, forestry workers, truck drivers – and anyone connected to primary industries – have been invited to contribute to the plan.
Primary Industries Minister Tony Perrett said the blueprint would drive investment, create jobs and unlock opportunities for agribusiness.
“I’m calling on all representatives from across our industry sectors, including research, community, investors and government, to make sure their voices are heard so we can co-deliver a future where our primary industries thrive and prosper,” Minister Perrett said.
Public consultations close on June 9.
