Racing Queensland has confirmed Nanango Race Club has been given back its May 17 race meeting.
This is one of the three meetings which were stripped from the club last November.
The decision to reallocate the May meeting follows a meeting late last week between members of the recently appointed Nanango Race Club interim management committee and Racing Queensland officials.
The new committee assured the RQ officials that a race meeting could be held successfully at the Lee Park track.
The decision means there will be a busy racing calendar coming up in the South Burnett:
- April 25 – Wondai
- May 10 – Burrandowan
- May 17 – Nanango
- May 31 – Wondai
The two 2025 meetings which Nanango lost were February 15 and the popular Easter Saturday races on April 19.

The race day card is not yet available, but Race 1 usually jumps about 1:00pm.
