Sunwater’s two major dams in the South Burnett – Boondooma and Bjelke-Petersen – are now both officially full!
Sunwater issued a “stay informed” warning about BP Dam on Friday morning as it is now spilling excess water into Barker Creek.
However, water flows were expected to remain within the beds and banks of the creek.
Boondooma Dam is still also spilling into the Boyne River.

- Do not enter floodwater, rivers or creeks

- Monitor Bjelke-Petersen Dam levels
- Tune in to ABC Wide Bay 100.1 FM
- Check local updates, road closures and evacuation information at South Burnett Regional Council
- Monitor river and rainfall conditions or visit www.bom.gov.au/qld
- Call Triple Zero (000) if your life is in danger
