Kingaroy Police Station will be allocated two new First Year Constables from Wednesday’s graduation of 122 recruits in Brisbane.

A police spokesperson said it had been a record-breaking year for recruitment with more than 940 officers having now been inducted.

More than 2200 applicants are also still in the pipeline, up 53 per cent on November last year.

Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski APM reflected on the year’s efforts.

“The QPS has been passionately committed to our recruiting efforts and strategies, so it’s wonderful to welcome another large cohort of recruits to wrap up 2024,” he said.

“Interest in policing careers continues to grow and with a strong applicant pool in the pipeline, we’re hopeful of another record-breaking year in 2025.”
