The recent rain has had a positive effect on Boondooma Dam … it’s now full!
Sunwater issued a “stay informed” warning at 9:15am on Thursday as the dam was now spilling excess water into the Boyne River.
Water flows were expected to remain within beds and banks of the river, however increased river flows should be expected over the next 24 hours.
NB. Bjelke-Petersen Dam was close to 95 per cent full at noon on Thursday.
