Nanango State School prep student Charlotte Black was presented with a copy of the 2025 Farm Safe Calendar at a small ceremony at Nanango State School on Monday.

Charlotte’s artwork is featured on the “March” page of the calendar and was selected from more than 1500 entries from across Queensland.

Her drawing shows the importance of having a safe, fenced playing area on farms so children can be kept safe from farm machinery.

Harry and Jarrod from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland gave Charlotte her very own copy of the calendar.

Charlotte and the other 11 winning students across Queensland have also received $250 with another $500 going to their school.

Other messages on the 2025 Farm Safety calendar tackle being safe around electrical equipment, always wearing a helmet on a quad bike and washing hands after touching animals.
