FLASHBACK: Kingaroy Sunrise chair Mark Pitt and his wife Nicola at last year’s Training Awards

March 6, 2024

Building Industry Training (BIT) – a training organisation which will soon be coming to the South Burnett – has come on board as the Platinum sponsor for the 2024 South Burnett Training Awards.

The awards are being organised by the Rotary Satellite Club of Kingaroy Sunrise, and will be held on March 23 at the Wondai Memorial Hall.

“BIT is entering the South Burnett region and has sponsored the 2024 Training Awards,” Rotary Satellite Club chair Mark Pitt said.

“This is an excellent outcome for the Rotary Satellite Club, assisting us to continue to make this signature event a success.”

He said BIT was a quality registered training organisation which was seeking to offer a localised vocational program.

The second annual South Burnett Training Awards look to be shaping up as a major event.

Jarrod Edwards will be providing live music while the The Picnic House will be preparing a cold spread.

Volunteers from the Wondai Proston Wolves Rugby League Club will be behind the bar.

A range of local sponsors are also supporting the event.

“The South Burnett Training Awards are excited to share their partnership with the sponsors who make this event possible and look forward to a continuing association,” Mr Pitt said.

“Most of the purchases have been made within the region.

“The aim is to not just celebrate our wonderful nominees but to share the opportunities with other clubs and associations within the region.

“The Pride of Workmanship award has also been well received, and we are pleased to recognise staff who’ve shown the ‘Do It Once, Do It Well’ ethos.”

Tickets for the night are $35 per head and can be booked online
