Council is reminding South Burnett residents to book their buses for a free trip to Kingaroy to catch up with league great Johnathan Thurston in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt next Tuesday.
Thurston will be part of a Question and Answer session from 4:00pm with giveaways including signed merchandise such as football jerseys.
He’s coming to the South Burnett as part of a JT Academy Event, an initiative funded by the State Government.
Thurston will be having a “big conversation” with high school children designed to instil confidence, courage and self-belief.
At Tuesday’s free community event in Kingaroy there will be live music with local band Misfitz, a Rotary Club barbecue and raffles.
Free buses will be running from Blackbutt, Yarraman, Nanango, Murgon, Wondai, Tingoora, Wooroolin, Memerambi, Proston and Hivesville to attend this community event. They can be booked by calling (07) 4168-1533.
