A Local Fire Ban will come into force in the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie and North Burnett council areas at 11:55pm on Monday.
The ban has been imposed by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services throughout the North Coast fire district.
Also affected are the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Noosa and Sunshine Coast council areas.
A QFES spokesperson said the current and upcoming fire conditions were perfect for bushfires to ignite and spread quickly.
Under a local fire ban all open fires are prohibited (subject to exemptions) and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.
Fires lit for the purpose of cooking or providing warmth are allowed, however they must be used within a proper constructed vessel (such as barbecue, pizza oven or fire pit) where the fire cannot escape or cause embers to drift.
Power tools may be used during a local fire ban but QFES encourages people to use these with extreme care and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start.
This may include having a person available to watch out for any ignitions that occur.
The ban is expected to remain in place until 11:55pm on Monday, December 7.
A Local Fire Ban is also in place in the South-East region until 11:59pm on Wednesday, December 2.
This affects residents in the Somerset, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan and Gold Coast areas.
UPDATE December 1: The local fire ban for residents in the Logan, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Somerset and Gold Coast local government areas has been extended until 11:59pm on Monday, December 7.
