Ergon Energy, Energex and Powerlink are seeking participants for the Queensland Household Energy Survey – and the incentive is the chance to win a $100 gift card!

The data collected will help Queensland’s electricity distribution and transmission companies plan for the industry’s rapidly evolving future.

Energy Queensland CEO Rod Duke said the annual online survey had provided valuable information in the past that was now being used to plan for the next generation power network.

“Previous survey respondents have clearly shown that Queenslanders are very keen to adopt new technology, such as home energy management systems, smart home assistants, electric vehicles and solar PV – just to name a few,” Mr Duke said.

“Together these technologies have the ability to not only change the energy usage profiles of the average Queensland household, they can help customers improve their energy efficiency and enable us to assist them in doing that.

“This includes developing new power tariffs, building a network that accommodates their needs and ensuring we’re providing services that remain relevant to everyone’s requirements.”

Powerlink chief executive Paul Simshauser said the annual survey provided important insights to help energy network operators better understand customer and community needs across Queensland.

Queenslanders keen on having their say on the future of the State’s electricity industry have the chance to win one of ten $100 gift cards.

The survey closes on December 18.
