RoadTek will begin more work soon on Mundubbera-Durong Road

February 27, 2020

The slow process of upgrading Mundubbera-Durong Road is continuing with the Department of Main Roads earmarking another section for “rehabilitation”.

RoadTek will begin work on Monday (March 2) on the 6.4km section between the West Boondooma Road and Shellytop Road intersections.

The three-month project will strengthen and stabilise the road surface to improve safety and minimise future maintenance.

New drains will be constructed and some culverts repaired.

TMR also plans to upgrade signs and clear obstructions from the side of the road.

Work will be carried out between 6:00am and 6:00pm on weekdays.

Motorists should be aware of changed traffic conditions including reduced speeds, lane closures, stop-go traffic controllers and minor traffic delays.
