South Burnett Junior Motorcycle Club will be hosting Round 3 of the 2019 South East Queensland Junior Motocross Series (SEQJMX) at their track near Kingaroy Airport this weekend.
“After two years and a lot of volunteer hours, the club has managed to get our track up to the standards to hold a Queensland series out at our track again,” South Burnett Junior Motorcycle Club president Brent Perrett said.
“This will bring a lot of people into our community.
“We are very much looking forward to the weekend and hope that other locals will come out and enjoy watching some great racing, including some from a lot of our own local young riders.
“Come and support your local club and check out some great racing from competitors all over the State.”
There will be more than 300 riders competing over the two days.
On Saturday, the younger juniors, veterans and women will tackle the track.
On Sunday, the older juniors and seniors will be racing.
Three-time national motocross champion Dean Ferris will be riding on Sunday.
The track is located on Edenvale South Road and entry is free to spectators all weekend.
A canteen and bar will running all weekend and there’ll be a pig-on-the-spit dinner on Saturday night and live entertainment from 5:30-8:00pm.
Brent said he would like to thank to some local sponsors and supporters that have helped to get the track and club up and running again.
