Fire crews are monitoring a fire burning in the Goodger / Brooklands area which broke out on Friday.

At 11:30am on Monday, a QFES spokesperson said the blaze had been contained and there was no threat to property at this stage.

Firefighters will continue to monitor the area.

The fire began on Friday near Kingaroy-Cooyar Road and quickly spread across paddocks and bushland south of Old Taabinga Road.

It flared up again on Saturday, driven by strong winds.

Firefighters were again despatched on Sunday after reports of smoke in the nearby Archookoora State Forest area.

They found a scrub fire burning in inaccessible country.

Fire crews worked with HQ Plantations staff to establish firebreaks and contain the fire.
