Kingaroy Rotary Club held a special dinner on Monday night to mark handing over a cheque for $8225.60 to the “Lift the Lid” mental health program.
The funds were raised at a farewell dinner held at Kingaroy Town Hall in March to celebrate the retirement of Kingaroy Police Prosecutor Sergeant Wayne “Bushy” Bushell, who is also a past-President of Kingaroy Rotary.
Almost 260 people attended the Town Hall dinner, which included multi-draw raffles as well as a three-course meal.
Wayne presented the cheque to Australian Rotary Health representative Vicki Stewart, who travelled from the Sunshine Coast for the occasion.
