One of RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s best-known employees has been honoured at the 2015 Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year Awards on Saturday night.
CareFlight’s North Coast Fundraising Manager Angela Miles scooped up the award for Professional Business Woman of the Year, which recognises and celebrates business women on the Sunshine Coast.
Angela is frequently spotted in the South Burnett at various functions as part of her fund-raising duties.
She said she was delighted to receive the accolade for her contribution to CareFlight’s lifesaving community service.
“To be acknowledged for my individual achievements amongst such esteemed women in business is a great honour,” she said.
“It’s very exciting.”
CareFlight Executive Fundraising Manager Leanne Angel said it was wonderful that one of CareFlight’s hard-working employees behind-the-scenes had been recognised with the award.
“Angela’s selfless commitment to raising vital funds and awareness for CareFlight allows us to continue our mission of saving lives and serving the community,” she said.
“The award is very well-deserved.”
Angela has worked for the helicopter rescue service for eight years.
