A 27-year-old man who successfully appealed for a re-trial of indecent dealing charges pleaded guilty to three counts in the Kingaroy District Court last week.
In March, a jury found the man guilty of four counts of indecent treatment of a child under the age of 16 after a four-day trial.
The alleged incidents occurred in the Ballogie and Proston areas.
They did not reach a verdict on a fifth charge.
On two of the counts, the man was sentenced to 12 months jail, to be suspended after serving six months. On the two other charges, he was sentenced to six months jail, to be suspended immediately.
However, he successfully appealed the verdicts and the case was ordered for retrial.
Seven charges were set down for hearing last week, however the Crown did not proceed with four counts.
On the remaining three charges, Judge Greg Koppenol sentenced the man to 12 months jail, to be suspended for two years; and 18 months probation.
