Toowoomba gardening guru Brian Sams will be a special guest presenter at this weekend’s Bloomin’ Beautiful Blackbutt festival.
Brian, who presents gardening news on WIN-TV, will be in Blackbutt on Sunday to discuss propagation and answer gardening questions.
- 11:00am – Session 1: Propagation for the gardener – new plants from old. Practical things that people can do at home or on the farm to grow new plants from seed, cuttings, division and layering.
- 1:30pm Session 2: A question and answer session focusing on plant problems in Spring.
“The festival kicks off on Friday night with a sponsors’ dinner at the Radnor Hotel, followed by a weekend of fun,” festival chairman Jeff Connor said.
“Another highlight of the weekend is our outdoor movie on Saturday night. The PCYC will be playing Oz the Great and Powerful.
“The whole weekend is about showcasing the best of Blackbutt and the South Burnett.
“We have six themed venues with a free shuttle bus taking people from one event to the next.”
