Barambah PaCE has now had more than 50 people do the Positive Parenting Program to gain confidence as carers of children.

Many have returned to do the program for young children and teenagers and to refresh their strategies.

“I found out things I didn’t even know so it did me good,” one mother said after doing the two half-days course.

“It’s a program that gives parents a better understanding and ways to encourage their kids to stay in school.”

Another said he would encourage everybody to come along to see what Triple P was about.

“I think it will help me be a better father,” he said.

The next Triple P for parents and carers of teenagers will be held on September 10-11 at the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council’s training rooms on September 9-10.

To book a spot, phone Barambah PaCE on (07) 4168-2330.
