Police have repeated their call for anyone who may have seen local resident Shaun Miles from 9:00pm onwards in Kingaroy last Thursday night to come forward.

Police investigations are continuing into the death of Mr Miles, whose body was found on the corner of Fisher Street and Alford Street East on Friday morning.

Acting Inspector Duane Frank, speaking at a media conference in Gympie yesterday, said police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or strange in the Kingaroy CBD that night.

Acting Insp Frank said police had spoken to a number of witnesses who had come forward voluntarily, and had collected a number of versions of stories about the evening.

He confirmed people associated with the Under 18s rugby league carnival had been spoken to before they returned home from Kingaroy.

Police have also viewed CCTV footage from the Club Hotel and had established the identities of a number of people who were there.

However there would be no comment on the contents of the video.

Detectives from Kingaroy and Gympie are involved in the case.

Police are still awaiting autopsy results.
