The Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation’s (BIEDO) “business pilots” have assisted 300 local businesses over the past eight months with free consultations … but time is running out if you want to join them.

A BIEDO spokesman said the businesses – which range from primary producers to retail outlets – have received up to five hours of personalised 1:1 time with business development specialists.

Topics covered included business planning and assessment, improvement strategies, financial systems and administration, marketing help, recommendations to increase client base and IT solutions.

However the opportunity to take advantage of these AusIndustry-funded consultations will be ending soon.

“If businesses don’t want to miss out on this valuable input they need to contact BIEDO before May 15,” BIEDO CEO Linda Silburn said.

“It is encouraging to see that such a high number of inland businesses have already taken the initiative to strengthen their enterprises. BIEDO believes in investing in local businesses, because stronger businesses results in a stronger economy and stronger communities.”

South Burnett Business Pilot Trudi Bartlett said the aim was to assist business owners in getting a clear
picture about their business.

“Where their business is currently, where they want to be, and how to get there. So many businesses have benefited from this free service. Don’t be the one to miss out!” she said.
