Art Gallery Opening - Kingaroy
The second month of the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery's Queensland Winter Craft Festival will be officially opened at 5:00pm tonight with the launch of the "2026 Battle Of The Quilts" competition. Quilts from local quiltmakers will be on display in the Main Gallery. Visitors can vote for the $500 People's Choice Award (announced at 1:00pm on July 19). Artworks by Tania Rae Corbet and Elisha Wolter, “The Space We Make”, will be in Gallery 2; and artist Lyn Kenny will have more quilts in Gallery 3. The Kingaroy Gallery is located opposite the peanut silos in Haly Street.
Gravel & Flannel Festival - Wondai
Keep an eye out for cyclists in the Tingoora to Wondai areas this weekend! The 2026 Gravel and Flannel Festival will bring together more than 100 cyclists, mountain bikers, their friends and families for three days of riding and good times from Friday to Sunday. The riders will be based at the Wondai Hotel 1903. More information is available online
Arts Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery, on the roundabout at Wondai, will be opening its July exhibitions at 6:00pm tonight. This month, there will be another three great exhibitions for visitors to enjoy. In the Front and Main Galleries, the Tangled Threads Textile Art Group will have works on display in "Time And Place". In Gallery 3, Collective Creations has "Sojourn - A Destination". Cloyna State School will be in Kidz Korner. As usual, there'll be hot and cold finger foods and punch, glasses of wine, live music and lots of fun socialising. Graham House Fit & Fun Class - Murgon

Barefoot Bowls - Yarraman
Yarraman Bowls Club, on the New England Highway, is hosting a family-friendly barefoot bowls afternoon from 4:00pm this afternoon. No equipment is needed (just wear flat-sole shoes). Members will be on hand to share tips and tricks. The bar will be open. $15 green fee includes a hamburger or $5 per person for bowls only. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low-income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $50 or $35 options to select food and the other items.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
