South Burnett Saints’ winning streak continued on Saturday in Kingaroy, holding on against Highfields despite a fightback by the visitors in the last quarter.
The big event this part week was the Burnett District Ladies Singles competition held at Kingaroy last weekend.
The Murgon Mustangs marked their first home game of the season with a thumping 58-28 victory over Nanango this evening … but for the first hour of the game, the contest could have gone either way.
The riding displays by Tommy Berry and apprentice Tegan Harrison were a real highlight of the Eagle Farm meeting last Saturday.
The senior footballers were up in Gayndah battling out for the Burnett Cup and the Burnett Plate on Saturday, but back in the South Burnett, a full round of junior football was being played.
Round 8 of the Football South Burnett McDonald’s junior soccer competition was played at Nanango on Saturday.
