It was the turn of students from Saint Mary’s Catholic College to hit the red carpet last Friday night for their annual valedictory dinner.
A parade of 14 vehicles dropped off the students in Glendon Street in Kingaroy where they were welcomed by friends and family as they walked through the forecourt to the doors of the Kingaroy Town Hall.
The commentary, by Bron and Damien Martoo, covered the cars, the fashions and even some inside-knowledge about the students’ favourite teachers!
The prepped and polished formal cars which delivered the students ranged in age and style from a 2014 Model T Ford to a 1960 Triumph Herald convertible and a stunning 2025 Chevrolet Corvette coupe.
A special guest on the night was former St Mary’s Kingaroy Catholic Parish priest Fr Stanley Orji who returned for the dinner.
Fr Stanley was transferred earlier this year to Holy Cross parish in Redcliffe.
