A 37-year-old Tarong man has been charged following alleged dangerous driving incidents in Kingaroy and Nanango last month.
About 2:15pm on August 22, officers were conducting roadside breath testing in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, when they tried to intercept a silver Ford Falcon utility.
Police will allege the driver refused to stop and accelerated towards an officer, forcing him to move out of the vehicle’s path before the utility continued southbound on the Bunya Highway.
A search failed to find the vehicle.
Eight days later, police were conducting speed enforcement activities in Nanango just before 3:00pm when they spotted the same Ford Falcon ute allegedly travelling at 150km/h in a 60km/h zone in Appin Street.
Police tried to intercept the vehicle before it allegedly evaded officers.
The vehicle was later located in Raymond Road at Tarong.
A 37-year-old Tarong man was subsequently taken into custody and charged with two counts of driving without a licence, and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, endangering a police officer when driving a motor vehicle, evading police, possessing tainted property, using stolen number plates and failing to comply with a requirement to stop.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 14.
