I attended Nanango State High School’s Semester 1 Success Celebration where students were recognised for their commitment, effort and achievements throughout the semester.
It was great to see so many students acknowledged for the goals they have worked hard to achieve, with families and teachers there to share in the occasion.
Events like these are an important reminder that success comes in many forms and is often built through dedication and perseverance.
Congratulations to all students recognised on the day, and best wishes for a successful second half of the school year.

QHA Board Comes to Kingaroy
It was a pleasure to welcome the Queensland Hotels Association (QHA) Regional Board meeting to Kingaroy, with the event proudly hosted by the Carrollee Hotel.
The QHA is the peak industry body representing hotels, accommodation providers, and the wider hospitality and liquor industries across Queensland. These businesses play a vital role in supporting local jobs, tourism and economic growth, particularly in regional communities like the South Burnett.
As Attorney-General, I have responsibility for areas that impact this important sector, so it was valuable to meet with industry leaders and hear firsthand about the opportunities and challenges facing hospitality operators.
Hosting the Regional Board Meeting in Kingaroy was a fantastic opportunity to showcase everything our region has to offer while highlighting the important contribution local hospitality businesses make to our community.
I thank the QHA for choosing the South Burnett for its meeting and look forward to continuing to work with the industry to support a strong and thriving hospitality sector across Queensland.

Land Court Annual Conference
Kingaroy recently hosted members of the Land Court of Queensland and key stakeholders from across the State for the Court’s annual two-day conference.
In my role as Queensland Attorney-General, I was pleased to address conference delegates and officially welcome members of the Court and stakeholders to the heart of the South Burnett.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to hear directly from those working within the Court system, discuss emerging issues, and better understand the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
I was also proud to showcase our region and all that the South Burnett has to offer.
A special shout out to the QCWA ladies who did a wonderful job catering the conference!
Events such as this bring visitors to our communities, support local businesses, and highlight Kingaroy as an excellent destination for professional gatherings and conferences.
