The Nanango Kennel Club took over the organisation of the annual Power Up show’n’shine at Nanango this year.
The event, held on July 12, was formerly run by the Nanango Sporting Association, which includes the Scorpions Cricket Club and the Panthers Soccer Club as well as the Kennel Club.
This year, the Kennel Club organised it on its own, although several volunteers from the other groups also helped out on the day.
The show’n’shine is a fundraiser for the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Burnett Street.
The oldest vehicle on display was a 1926 Chrysler Speedster 60, owned by Neil and Sandra Cooper, from Nanango.
It was surrounded by classic Aussie Fords and Holdens as well as American metal, including Mustangs, Chevs and a bright orange Pontiac.
Trophies were handed out at the end of the day, with Nev Williams, from Yarraman, taking home the Best Car award for his metallic red 1968 Corvette Stingray.
