Car lovers were in heaven on Saturday at the annual Yarraman Show & Shine which attracted more than 100 vehicles to the Errol Munt Sportsgrounds.

And bikers didn’t miss out either, with more than 50 motorbikes on display.

There were feral utes, hot rods, as well as lots of classic American muscle, including Mustangs, Corvettes and a bright orange Plymouth Road Runner which took out the Car of the Show trophy.

British marques weren’t forgotten, with everything from Rileys to a Rolls-Royce.

Aussie favourites included Falcons, Commodores, Toranas and even a Kingswood!

Funds were raised at the show & shine to support the Yarraman RSL Sub-Branch.

Footnote: Nanango’s annual Power Up Show, Shine and Swap Meet will be on this Sunday (July 12) at the Alan Downie Sportsfields in Burnett Street, Nanango. Gates open at 6:00am for vehicle entries ($15 cost) and at 9:00am for the public (entry by gold coin donation). There’ll also be market stalls and children’s entertainment. Trophy winners will be announced about 1:00pm.

Tex McLean, from Burpengary, brought along his AU Falcon ute
Adam Griggs, from Woodford, was not only keen to show off his 2007 Commodore ute and plug his business, but also to invite people to join the “Cool Intentions” car club, which holds monthly street meets and a bi-monthly Jag the Joker run to support the Kilcoy QCWA
Working hard in the canteen were Terri McAlister, Karen Patterson-Kane and Kris Burrows, all from Yarraman
