White tablecloths, the finest china and dainty snacks … Murgon’s 55 Million Years Ago museum and art gallery hosted another of its popular “Elegant Afternoon Teas” on Saturday.

The afternoon teas are held to coincide with the opening of the art gallery’s latest exhibition.

Works from South Burnett artists line the walls and are available to purchase.

The gallery, which fills the southern end of the museum complex in Macalister Street, changes the artworks on display every two months.

The fine diners are invited to select a “People’s Choice” award for their favourite artwork, which this month was won by local artist Diane Woodall.
