It’s a quiet English village (aren’t they always?) until a mystery ad appears in the local newspaper, residents gather at Miss Blacklock’s house and gunshots ring out …
So whodunit? Agatha Christie fans – and Nanango audiences! – know that when Miss Marple is on the case, the baddies will eventually be brought to justice.
“A Murder Is Announced” is the latest production by the Nanango Theatre Company.
The two-act play is based on a classic 1950s Agatha Christie murder mystery, adapted for the stage in 1977 by Leslie Darbon.
The Nanango production has a cast of 12, directed by Anne Davoren, plus a supporting crew of volunteers.
Linda Bebbington has been cast in the lead role as Miss Marple and Nick Backstrom as Inspector Craddock.
There are only six performances of this popular play, so tickets are expected to sell out quickly:
